On Friday, Brad told me I should cancel Chile Verde night with the friends. If he didn’t say anything, I think I would of gone through with it. It wouldn’t of been fun having a half dead asian lady walking around infecting people. So, I’m pretty grateful that Brad told me to cancel it or else I’d just try to power through.
Saturday, threw a baby shower for Shylene. I wasn’t too stressed about the party because I was in charge of the food and Missy was in charge of the games. I think the food was good but honestly, since I’m sick my taste buds are all out of whack. The important things is Shylene got awesome gifts for lil’ Grace.
Saturday was also the official day for trick or treating here in Utah. Which I thought was lame. . but that’s what I get for living in a predominantly religious state right? If I can’t live with it I should just move out and stop bitching about it.
So if you haven’t been to our house we’re almost at the end of the street and we hardly get any trick or treaters because 1. Parents truck their kids out. 2. Who wants to go to the end of the street for a small piece of candy? Well I decided this year we’d reward the kids by giving out full size candy bars. The reactions were the best part. “No way!” “You’re awesome!” “Sweet!” But the kids pass the word on because we didn’t just get the typical 5kids we got about 20. And it’s officially the Halloween tradition – we’ll be handing out candy bars every year.
