Challenge Week!

January 17, 2011

Well I got the 1st row done on the tokyo quilt. . a little head of the schedule seeing how I was going to aim for 2 blocks every week. I guess once I have the block laid out per Mrs. Fransson’s directions – it’s really not that hard to knock them out. I am pressing my seams open. . . and that’s teaching me a ton of patience. I try to have my rows sewn together and then have a pow-wow at the iron board where the steam can clear out my pores.

Here’s a picture of the 1st row on. . . pinned to my bedroom wall. . . I need to get my design wall together. . . which means a trip to the Ikea. (rubs hands together. . .cue evil laughter)

1st Row

Mrs. Amy has issued a Challenge Week . . . and I thought about it long and hard. . .there’s a couple things I need to get done and I should really try to motivate myself to get them done. . . so here’s the list to get done by Monday:

1. Cut all the white squares for the tokyo quilt. . . that’s right 700+ 2′ square. . oi!

2. Get most of my mystery squares sewn together. . . I know I will need help on a couple of them.

3. Figure out a design for my Bee Blocks.

4. Keep out of trouble and not buy more fabric. . . .

Do you need to motivate yourself?? Don’t be dumb and list 4 crzy things. . . aim for one and knock it out of the park will ya??

Yeah! It’s looking great. The white squares are so much easier that all the colored ones. It’s really pretty quick.
