That’s right! 4th quarter of the year (sorry I’m an accountant by day so I think of the year in quarters) I’m not starting any new projects *unless I committed to them before* and I’m going to concentrate on finishing up my WIPs (work in progress). I have so many projects that are started it’s insane.
Speaking of one – my Brownies Peartree Quilt. I got done with making the back so I sent it off to my good buddy Kayli. Yeah I didn’t quilt this myself. . . I don’t have the skills yet (aka sew cred) and I rather have it done right then waiting for me to figure out free motion quilting.
Friday night me and Kayli hung out and brainstormed how it should be quilted. One of the things I wanted was to incorporate a pattern from one of the fabrics in the line. Kayli suggested using the Ribbon’s design for quilting:
I really, really, really, really, really, LOVE IT!
I started binding it Sunday. . but only got 50% done. . .
I asked my twitter peeps if they wanted to get a binding video tutorial and I think I’ll put one together so everyone knows the way I do it.
Hopefully, I’ll have the binding done in the next couple days and then off to Mr. Thomas!
