I had a couple frustrating moments during Sew Saturday. . . blocks were messed up and I had some quality time with a seam ripper. Yeah if I wasn’t around people, I’d be yelling “F*&v My Life!” This week I’ll be focusing on finishing those dang bee blocks! argh!! Maybe I should start taking things that don’t take a lot of brain power to Sew Saturdays. ha!
Anyway, I finally finished the Planetarium top, here’s a couple action shots

I did one block with Geisha Passion as the border and not solid because I didn’t have a lot of pink border blocks (if you noticed).
Okay here’s the fun part – I’m going to let my readers help me decide on what Indie prints or print I should use on the back.

I’d use Wonderlust in Soleil! It has so many colors from the front and a similar background color. The quilt is beautiful & really any of the prints would look nice-just my personal preferem\nce

I think Wonderlust in Luna would maek a nice backing with the variety of colors. I’m pretty partial to Geisha in Bliss too!

I think I would choose Dynasty in Mandarin, since there’s only a bit of the orange on the front but I think it would make it much more of a cozy fall/winter finish with that color. I can see why you’re having trouble choosing between all of them!
I think Dynasty in Mandarin would tie in nicely with the front; giving it an extra pop! It’s not normally a colour I’d choose, but with that quilt…
I really like the Wonderlust in Soleil. It pulls together all the colors from the top, puts the focus on the warm colors (which I like best), and maintains the “feel” of the front instead of focusing on a single element.
Whichever you choose, this is a gorgeous quilt already that can only be enhanced further by the backing. Way to go!
I think the Geisha in Passion would be perfect for the backing, to tie it in with the “special” block on the front.

I’d vote for Dynasty in Saffron. It’s the lesser used color so it would be a nice contrast on the back. Beautiful job on the quilt, your fabric choices really make it!!

Wanderlust in Luna! My friend and I sewed together for over 8 hours yesterday, it was in the privacy of our homes (with no kids) so we can curse like sailors.
I’m digging the Geisha print in Bliss, that is such a pretty teal! Wanderlust in Luna would be my second pick, but really, they’re all gorgeous
I like that one block you sashed with a print, I think it’s a cool touch on the quilt! Boo to seam ripping, but yay for a very pretty finished quilt top!
Even with the video I couldn’t figure it out, but imho, I’d use the Geisha or Dynasty – love the deep rich colors. OR if you use one of the Wonderlust prints as the main backing, include one of the others for an awesome accent!

I thing Dynasty in Manderin is the way to go. I think it brightens it up and pulls out all the colours.
I absolutely LOVE Wanderlust in Soleil, but think maybe Dynasty in Mandarin would suit the top better.
