So sorry for the late post peeps! Tuesday was kind of hectic. . . I took the day off for the launch of registration for Sewtopia. It’s a epic sewing weekend retreat! More info can be found on the site and regular registration tickets are still available if you want to attend.
First off winner of last week’s prize is Mrs. Heather!
The points don’t line up and I know what I have to do to fix the bugger. I’m going to use some fabric glue and baste the fabric to the template. Stay tuned for the redo.
Here’s the tips that helped me tackle this block and make the points line up. First off I glued the template to the fabric with fabric glue and then I cut the template out:
Then I lined up the templates and sewed on the dotted line. I pressed the seam open and removed just the seam paper. I cut the dog tags off each sections shown below:
I hope that helps y’all for this block. . you’re dealing with fabric on the biased with this block so a good way of making sure it lines up correctly is to have that paper as a stable foundation. I’m very happy with the redo.
Are you ready to give paper piecing a try?? My blocks are together are looking great though and I’m happy with the color choices. (I’m going to need a bigger floor!)
